Dialect under the Giant Mountains region which is especially reflected in domestic form of given names
Maierová, Jana ; Rejzek, Jiří (advisor) ; Synková, Pavlína (referee)
This thesis deals with phonology and morphology of the microregion under the Giant Mountains (Podkrkonoší) and tries to find out which of the features considered to be characteristic for this region have been preserved/ have been lost. The thesis compares these results with the results of Český jazykový atlas (Czech language atlas). In the anthroponymic section, the thesis discusses the most common suffixes for the formation of domestic forms of given names and divides them further into several groups based on their use across generations or based on their use when expressing positive/neutral/negative relation to the naming of a person. Among these suffixes, it identifies two typical regional formants -če, -iště which are used for the formation of general nouns (appellatives) and naming nouns (propria), and compares their use with the older research.
